Welcome to Virginia Highland

Often referred to by locals as “the Highlands” or “VaHi”, Virginia Highland is a destination for people across Atlanta to enjoy an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and shops. Named after the intersection of Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue, the neighborhood was founded in the early 20th century as a streetcar suburb and remains a busy commercial district. In 2011, Atlanta Magazine designated Virginia Highland “Favorite Neighborhood Overall” and readers of Creative Loafing voted it “Best Walkable Neighborhood” in 2012.
