Brookhaven

 

Though Brookhaven is a new city in the Atlanta metropolitan area, incorporated in 2012, the community is graced with historic homes and established businesses. With a population of around 49,000, it is the largest city in DeKalb County and stretches over 12 square miles. With its spacious homes and renowned schools, Brookhaven is a sought-after address for families.

 

Residents of Brookhaven enjoy shopping at Town Brookhaven, which houses dozens of restaurants, shops, services, salons, a fitness center, a movie theater, Costco, and Publix. DeKalb County School System operates the public schools serving Brookhaven. Elementary schools include Ashford Park Elementary, Montclair Elementary, Montgomery Elementary, and Woodward Elementary. The public secondary schools serving the city are Cross Keys High School and Chamblee Charter High School. PATH Academy, a charter school, is also located in Brookhaven. Oglethorpe University lies within Brookhaven city limits, as well as Georgia State University’s Brookhaven satellite campus for the Robinson College of Business MBA program.
